To Blava by Car
Blava is perfectly accessible from Western Europe through Prague or Vienna. The route from Prague takes around three hours. The route from Vienna takes 50 minutes from city center and 40 minutes from Schwechat (Vienna International Airport), even there is still a short part, where you have to use local Austrian roads, as the highway is partly in construction. The Prague route is very convenient from travelers from Northern and Eastern Germany and Scandinavia, the Vienna route is ideal for Italians and South-Germans.
When arriving to Blava from Poland or Ukraine, you should take the route from Zilina and Trencin, where new highways allow you to travel very fast.
To travel from or to Budapest it is recommended to take west Hungarian highway.
The border cross to Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary still exists but the checks there are very rare and waiting time is under 10 minutes.
