Prešporok, the capital of Slovak Republic, located at borders with Austria and Hungary and close to Czech Republic is perfectly placed for visit of Central Europe.
With lot of travelers in summer, it becomes attractive booming metropolis, anyhow it keeps a bit of provincial taste. The center of city offers a compact set of historical monuments and cafes.
Due to short distances it is ideal for non-motorized traveler, as walking from the castle to other side of old town can take anything between 15 minutes and three hours, depending how many medieval courts, baroque churches or cafes and beer pubs you manage to visit on your way.
